Welcome to the first of what will hopefully be many editions of "Local Snapshot". For this edition I had the pleasure to meet Crystal and her lovely children as well as a friend of the family. I hope you enjoy my interview with her and learn a little bit about the product that she offers. I personally think it's a GREAT one.
Missy: So tell me a bit about what you sell?
Crystal: Discovery
Toys products. We offer an array of products
that support the development of a variety of skills for balanced
learning, and our products grow with your child. We take great pride in
the quality and safety of our products. Every one of our products meets
or exceeds the standards set by the U.S. government regarding safety.
Toys are tested by an independent company for toxins upon their return
to the US and Discovery Toys has never had an issue with lead paint.
These products are also Phathalate-free including our teethers!
Discovery Toys products are backed with an unconditional satisfaction
guarantee. That's not something that is offered at most retail stores!
Missy: How did you get involved with it? What made you sell
discovery toys?
Crystal: I began to get concerned about my children's health
when the recalls started. Many of our toys were recalled and I decided
to seek out other sources for my children's toys. I found Discovery
Toys and loved them. My son who is special needs, has many therapists
and they only had good things to say about the products. Many of the
toys are specifically geared towards children with delays and this year
the company has even developed an Autism Support Project. This is a
company that I am proud to be a part of.
Missy: Why do you sell them?
Crystal: I think that everyone should have access
to these great products and right now, the only way to order them is
through a consultant.
Missy: What's the best thing about selling them?
Crystal: I love being able to show the toys! Everyone gets hooked after playing with them!
Missy: Are there things that have tended to not go out of style? Ya
know how there are fads for some toys? What are the ones that are
always in the catalog?
Crystal: Discovery Toys has been around for 30 years and
some items are just classics. The Measure Up Cups, Pegboard, and Hammer
Away are some of the most popular items. These products are sure to be
in the catalog for years to come.
Missy: What are your children's fave toys?
Crystal: My children really like the
Working Trio, a set of 3 friction driven trucks. Go-Go Caterpillar is
always a hit and the music CDs are great!
Missy: Is it easy to sell them? Is there a lot of work involved?
Crystal: Like
any other business your Discovery Toys business will be what you make
it. You can choose to work full-time or part-time and your success will
be directly related to the time and effort that you are willing to put
in. I find that once you are able to show the toys it is very easy to
sell them.
Missy: How can someone get Discovery Toys from you?
Crystal: Home parties and
personal shopping dates are the easiest way to order products. I can be
reached at crystal00@gmail.com and there is an online catalog available
at www.discoverytoysinc.com
Missy: How can someone get involved in selling
Discovery Toys themselves?
Crystal:
Starting your own Discovery Toys business is
easy. There is a $99 start up kit that has everything you need to start
your business. This package includes over $300 worth of our most
popular product, a personalized website, business tools and more. This
kit is also available to those who may not be ready to start a business
but love the toys. After the kit is purchased you will receive a 25%
off wholesale discount. This can save you a lot of money if you plan on
buying the products in the future.
Well that ends my first ever edition of Local
Snapshots. Hope that you all enjoyed and take the time to visit
Discovery Toys to see what they offer. And if you are
interested Crystal would be a great place to start.
